August 1, 2024 2:00 pm - August 4, 2024 3:30 pm Claremont Showground

A Wild Woolly Bird Workshop is a great way to gain skills and learn techniques on all things needle felting. Di Conroy has extensive knowledge and years of felting experiences from all over the world including 16 years while living in Tokyo.

This class is focused on making a 3D wool sculpture. Fibre Artist Di will give you step by step guidance on how to make an Aussie bird. More than taking a bird home you will know the right needles, wools, and tools to buy to start your needle felting journey.

No experience needed. You will learn important techniques that can be used over and over again on other projects.

With simple tools such as a wool mat and a felting needle, you and your friends will be amazed at the 2D wool paintings and 3D sculptures you can create.

Class supplies include: Aussie core wool, NZ Maori and Corriedale wools, wire and pipe cleaners. Birds are 15cm in size.

Tool supplied: Wool mat, felting needles, pliers and scissors.

Class will run at 2pm all days.
